This cake ball recipe might just be my favorite. It has a cookie dough filling!

- 3/4 brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Cake Layer
- 1 x 8 inch chocolate cake (homemade or store-bought)
- * (or a dozen chocolate cupcakes)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate frosting
- Chocolate and/or vanilla candy coating (16oz)
- Cake sprinkles
Directions
Cookie Dough Center
- With a mixer blend butter and brown sugar until well combined. Gradually mix in flour alternating with the sweetened condensed milk. Beat well after each addition. Stir in chocolate chips. Shape into 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon sized balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze until ready to use.
Cake Layer
- In a bowl, crumble the cake and mix in the frosting until combined.
- Form this cake and frosting mixture around each cookie dough ball. Roll until smooth. Place back on cookie sheet and refrigerate while preparing candy coating.
- In a double broiler over simmering water, melt candy coating. Roll the cake balls in the coating with a fork and place back onto baking sheet. Drizzle with extra coating. Garnish with cake sprinkles. Refrigerate till coating has hardened.
